"Funny You Should Ask" é o primeiro livro que leio de Elissa Sussman. Foi publicado no ano passado (2022) mas, o seu romance de estreia é o "Drawn That Way". Este ano já conta com um novo livro: "Once More With Feeling". Posso adiantar e afirmar que depois de ler este romance estou curiosa para ler os seus outros romances.

Em grande parte da história, acaba por prevalecer a carreira individual essencialmente por falhas de comunicação. Não obstante, é bonito acompanharmos o desenrolar deste amor. Sente-se inevitavelmente, temas como o alcoolismo, o preço da fama e a importância do sucesso relacionados com o mundo das grandes estrelas.

Encontramos um livro do tipo de light reading, slow burn. Fez-me recordar a escrita dos livros de Emily Henry e Taylor Jenkins Reid. Um romance com nuances engraçadas. Gostei particularmente de perceber que a forma como esta história se inicia é também como se encerra. Aconselho a ouvirem esta playlist enquanto lêem.
