Têm aqui disponível a minha opinião referente ao primeiro livro, caso ainda não tenham lido. Gostei tanto do primeiro livro que quando soube que existia a continuação da história do Ari e do Dante - Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World -, coloquei de imediato o segundo livro como prioridade na lista de leitura.

I was beginning to see the world in a different way just by listening to her. To listen to her voice was to listen to her love.

Terminei hoje de ler este livro e, ainda tenho os pensamentos a mil. Gostei tanto do desenvolvimento da história que agradeço ao autor, Benjamin Lire Sáenz, por sentir em primeiro lugar, a necessidade de continuar o processo de escrita. 

People don't think in straight lines, and that's okay, it's what makes people interesting, and maybe it's what makes the world go 'round.

Neste segundo livro, encontrámos Ari e Dante a explorarem os seus sentimentos individuais e a compreenderem a dimensão bem como o impacto destes na vida um do outro. Ao princípio, Ari só com a intervenção dos pais se apercebe de quem tem muito amor dentro de si, mais do que alguma vez imaginou. E, de que o amor que sente por Dante é bem real.

Hate is an emotional pandemic we have never found a cure for.

Lemos sobre relacionamentos (amorosos, familiares e outros), bullying, homicídio, orientação sexual, amizades, perdão, desenvolvimento individual e em grupo, confronto de ideias, racismo, a importância da saúde mental e da educação.

Cowards start wars, and the brave fight them.

Mais uma vez o título é bem justificado e isso, conta como um bónus para a classificação deste livro. Adoro ler as passagens que me levam a refletir sobre a escolha do escritor para o título do livro em questão.

It was as though the universe had stopped whatever it was doing just to look down on two boys who had discovered its secrets.

E, mais uma vez, não sei escolher entre Ari e Dante. Consigo-me identificar com ambos nos detalhes que vão partilhando. 

I would always be the guy that would say too little and Dante was the kind of guy who would always say too much.

Acho que nunca me irei cansar da história destas duas personagens literárias que surpreendentemente levarem o meu coração. E, sei que um dia irei voltar a ler as vidas contidas nestes dois livros por todo o amor que transbordam e por todas as amizades que trespassam as linhas.

Everywhere I turned, everywhere I went, everybody had something to say about love.

Houve uma frase em especial que me fez lembrar de uma música do Harry Styles e, se vocês a lerem talvez, também vos recorde.

And I wanted to say that I was sorry too.
