"Over the past few years, Brianna Wiest has gained renown for her deeply moving, philosophical writing. This new compilation of her published work features pieces on why you should pursue purpose over passion, embrace negative thinking, see the wisdom in daily routine, and become aware of the cognitive biases that are creating the way you see your life. Opinião:
Este mês é o segundo livro que leio de não ficção e, decerto que é (quase) uma novidade para mim. Não tenho por hábito ler muito de desenvolvimento pessoal, mas acho que é um género que estou a (re)descobrir melhor e, que veio com vontade de ficar.
At the end of the day, all we really want are a few close people who know us (and love us) no matter what.
Fear doesn’t mean a desire to escape. It means you’re interested. The emotion most associated with fear is interest, believe it or not. It’s even been said that fear has two invisible faces: one that wants to flee and the other that wants to investigate. This is to say, nothing is generally “scary” to us unless some part of us also wants to understand it, knows we are a part of it, and feels as though it will become part of our experience.
You must give yourself permission to want what you really want.
